Protective Layer Policy

All children under the age of 4, even if they are potty trained, will be required to wear the snug protective layers shown above when using the pool.

  • Snug fitting protective layers will need to pass the two-finger test. If two fingers can fit under the elastic in the legs and waist, the layer is too large.
  • Students who have a repeated accident in the pool may be required to wear special protective layers, such as adult sized rubber pants, regardless of age.
  • If a child under the age of 4 is found not properly layered, they will be asked to leave the pool and return once the appropriate attire is worn.

Group Swim Classes

Longfellow Health Club in Natick offers swimming lessons for every age and skill level! From infants and toddlers to youth, adults, and master swimmers, our health club offers private and group swimming classes, swim teams, and master swimming workouts. Swim lessons at our club in Natick are available in both group and private format. Our instructors provide an environment that promotes safety, learning, and trust.

  • Preschool programs at our Natick club are designed for children ages 6 months through 5 years, and help infants and toddlers adjust to the water and learn basic skills.
  • Youth programs focus on basic to advanced water skills for kids who are ages 5-14 years old. For more advanced children, classes are offered to prepare them for swim team and fitness swimming.
  • Adults can also enjoy swim lessons, with classes that range from beginner to advanced. You’re never too mature to learn to swim, and we make it possible! Adult group classes are 8 weeks long.
