Water Exercise

Water exercise is a combination of cardiovascular, strength, and flexibility, done simultaneously for a fantastic workout.  The resistance of the water matches all the effort you throw at it, i.e.  the workout can be modified for your needs on any particular day. Most of our classes are done in the deep end of the pool, using floatation belts for support.  Water Exercise provides the freedom of mobility for those that are more limited on land.

In addition, it’s a perfect way to extend your athletic career, to rehabilitate from an injury or surgery, and to have fun with friends.  We have exceptional instructors-most of our staff have been teaching at Longfellow for decades.  You might just find that running in the pool makes you better, stronger, faster on land and lifts your spirits for the day.  Check out our schedules at either Longfellow location to find the class times that best fit your schedule.
